LOSYCO - Solutions successful in the modular construction of houses

In recent years, factory-based building prefabrication has been steadily gaining ground as an alternative to conventional solid construction. A telling indicator is the growing number of projects LOSYCO has completed for modular construction companies worldwide. In this industry, most works are shifted from the construction site to the factory. Consequently, production logistics are eminently important for economic and resource efficiency.

All assembly steps must be perfectly coordinated so that factories can output several building units per day. Following the example of the manufacturing industry, the best way to achieve this is flow production. Accordingly, we have adapted our LOXrail® system to the requirements of modular construction. We have already fitted numerous modular building factories with our floor-level heavy-duty rails. On customized LOXrail® transportation platforms, units with footprints up to 40m² and weighing more than 20 tons can be safely and efficiently moved through the production lines all the way to the final construction steps and interior finish.

LOSYCO founder Derek P. Clark wrote about our work for this industry in the current issue of MMC Modern Methods of Construction.
